Our staff have the skills and experience to help you succeed. They will help build your confidence and achieve your aims. You will have a personal tutor whom you will meet regularly to discuss your progress. They will usually be one of your subject or main course tutors. Although there are no childcare facilities on site at New College, the Co-operative Childcare is an independent purpose-built nursery located behind New College. It offers a comprehensive range of services which will help you to complete your studies with the full confidence that your children are well looked-after and within easy reach. It is open from 7.30am-6.00pm daily and offers flexible childcare from 3 months to school age.

The College's Careers Adviser is available to all our students to give free and impartial information, advice and guidance on career prospects, work, training, Higher Education and CVs. Careers resources are also available in the Learning Resource Centre and on the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment).
We offer a free, confidential counselling service. Our counsellors are here to listen and support you if you have any personal problems that affect your learning. Counselling is limited to a maximum of 6 sessions unless there are exceptional circumstances. Student Services can also provide information on external support agencies, online counselling via Kooth and helplines.

All New College students are automatically members of the New College Student Union, and participation in their events or membership of the NC Exec is strongly encouraged. New College is affiliated to the National Union of Students (NUS). You can purchase the NUS Extra card online for £12.
Our Chaplaincy offers students and staff a confidential listening ear. New College has a Sacred Space available for students and staff of all faiths and none. The current Chaplaincy team members are from different Christian denominations, but offer a service to people of all faiths.
