Apprenticeship for Professional Accounting
About the course
An apprenticeship for individuals working in an Accounts role looking to upskill and achieve the Level 4 AAT professional Diploma in Accounting. Apprentices will learn skills and knowledge in areas such as Financial statements, Management Accounts, Accounting Systems and Controls.
You will study the following over 24 months:
The standard: Option 1 Accounting; Option 2 Tax; Business Awareness; Ethical Standards; Regulation and Compliance; Systems and Processes.
Skills: Analysis; Communication; Leadership; Planning and Prioritisation; Produces Quality and Accurate Information; Team Working and Collaboration; Uses Systems and Processes.
Behaviours: Adaptability; Adding Value; Ethics and Integrity; Proactivity; Professional Scepticism.
On Programme assessment: An End Point Assessment which will consist of a multiple choice test, an observation of practice, a reflective journal and interview.

End Point assessment: The End Point Assessment will consist of a role simulation and a portfolio.
Entry requirements
Apprentices must be employed within a relevant job role to undertake the programme. Employers will set entry criteria for their apprenticeship vacancies. If you do not already hold a minimum GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths, or equivalent, you will be required to study functional skills in these areas as part of your apprenticeship.
Where next?
Progression on to higher level job opportunities or Level 5 and above qualifications via CIMA or ACCA.
